As part of the investigation into the case related to the Football Federation of Macedonia (FFM), four more people who were previously unavailable to law enforcement agencies have been secured.

Two of the suspects were brought before a judge yesterday for preliminary proceedings. A detention measure has been ordered for one person, while measures to ensure his presence in the proceedings have been imposed on the second suspect.

The remaining two suspects will be brought before a judge for preliminary proceedings during the course of today, after which a decision will be made on the measures that will be imposed on them.

The competent institutions have not yet announced additional details about the course of the investigation.

This is a broader investigation that mentions suspicions of financial abuse, embezzlement and money laundering in the FFM. Some media reports state that the investigation concerns an alleged embezzlement of around three million euros, while in the context of the previously filed criminal charges, suspicions of multiple crimes and embezzlement of 2.4 million euros are mentioned.

Twelve people were previously brought before a judge in the case, including the former president of the FFM, Ilcho Gjorgioski. His predecessor as president of the FFM, Muamed Sejdini, who is listed as a second suspect, was already in custody for another suspected crime and was arrested in April this year.
