The Kafasan – Elbasan road on the Librazhd – Prenjas section, is open to traffic for all types of vehicles after 11 days of blockade.
Through a public announcement on social media, the Road Agency states that heavy goods vehicles will also be able to move along this road, but only those up to 8.2 tons of payload.
“Traffic will be carried out via a temporarily diverted route built next to the previous existing one, until the full implementation of the alternative route, already announced, on the Shkumbin riverbed and integrated with the railway,” reads the statement.
It adds that the road will operate with signaling at the construction site and, temporarily, will be unpaved until the layers are stabilized, after which the final asphalting will be carried out.
