SDSM Executive Boad member Rubin Zemonresigned from his party position two months after the scandalous meeting with controversial Bulgarian national Viktor Stoyanov from the “Macedonia” Foundation, one of the biggest opponents of the Macedonian identity.
After Zemon’s resignation, former Strumica Mayor KostadinKostadinov commented on the situation on social media. Kostadinov was expelled from SDSM after criticizing the party, and previously he was part of the highest bodies of the opposition party and its mayoral candidate.
“These developments are clear proof of how expensive it is to play staff roulette in politics and, as they say – a classic deja vu of Strumica on the eve of the local elections. SDSM desperately needs internal consolidation, not ad hoc combinatorics,” Kostadinov said in a social media post.
