German company Kostal in Ohrid is an investment that serves as an inspiration for all of us to continue supporting each other and advancing together, Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski noted in his address at an event on Thursday marking the 10th anniversary of Kostal’s operations in North Macedonia.
“A decade is a sufficient amount of time to assess whether we have done enough, whether we have room to do even more, together, to talk to each other and make plans to build an even more successful future, because the more successful Kostal is here in Ohrid, in Macedonia, the more successful we as a country will be, and vice versa, the richer, more prosperous and more successful the country is, the richer and more prosperous your investment will be. However, in these 10 years, so many things have been done that look really impressive in numbers,” said Mickoski.
“Ten years, a decade, one of the previous speakers said that in the last 5 years alone, from EUR 80,000,000 in revenue to EUR 280,000,000 in revenue expected this year, an extremely significant economic result, but it is also an extremely significant economic result for the Macedonian economy, which directly participates in the Macedonian GDP. To still be in the top 5 companies that participate with their exports in the Macedonian GDP is a truly great success.
On behalf of the Government, I would like to thank you for everything you have done in the past decade, the past 10 years. More than 1,300 employees, if I am not mistaken, there were 1,340, I think the owner mentioned that number, who are here in the production facilities of Kostal in Ohrid, more than 1,300 human destinies, families who see their future right here in Kostal,” underlined PM Mickoski.
