The first Thyroid Center in Macedonia has been opened at Acibadem Sistina Clinical Hospital, offering complete diagnostics, treatment and monitoring of all thyroid diseases in adults and children. The Center operates a multidisciplinary team of specialists in nuclear medicine, thoracic surgery, radiology, pathology, pediatrics and endocrinology, who will provide patients with comprehensive care for all thyroid issues.
A special emphasis in the work of the Center is also placed on the early detection of possible congenital thyroid disorders in newborns through echo screening, which will be included in the sales packages as a free examination for all newborns delivered at Acibadem Sistina.
“The establishment of the Thyroid Center is a significant step towards providing top-notch, integrated and precise medical care for our patients. The main goal of this Center is for patients to be able to undergo a specialist examination, ultrasound, laboratory tests, scan, biopsy and everything else necessary in just one day, without the need for additional consultations and referrals to other institutions. If necessary, patients immediately receive an appointment and plan for further treatment, such as surgery or radioiodine therapy, which is constantly available at the hospital,” said Biljana Crcareva, M.D., a nuclear medicine specialist at Acibadem Sistina.
