Bulgaria’s special envoy to Macedonia Venko Filipche should immediately stop pursuing a subordinate policy, i.e. a policy that suits Bulgaria and harms Macedonia in our bilateral dispute, VMRO-DPMNE spokesperson Valentin Manasievski told a press briefing on Wednesday.
“Bulgaria is happy to see that there is a small group of politicians in Macedonia, such as the SDS led by Venko Filipche, who would sell out state interests for power. The problem with this small group of politicians like Venko Filipche, who is also blackmailed by Bulgaria, is that they are pursuing the same policies that are in line with Rumen Radev and the authorities there. Filipche is pursuing harmful policies that are causing enormous damage to Macedonia, but are also harming him and the SDS.
And while his former associates say that he should not go to press conferences every day and demand constitutional amendments because that shows how desperate and unimaginative he is, the blackmailed Venko Filipche will certainly go to a press conference today and say that constitutional amendments are the solution and that we will be part of the EU tomorrow.
Bulgaria is in no hurry, they have been waiting for someone like Zoran Zaev for decades, so they have no problem waiting again for someone similar in the case of Venko Filipche,” Manasievski pointed out.
