Manasievski: How did the SPO spend EUR 1 million in 2.5 months?

The Special Public Prosecutor's Office (SPO) headed by Katica Janeva worked under SDSM’ direction of SDSM, Zoran Zaev and his partners such as Venko Filipche, Oliver Spasovski and Radmila Shekerinska. Their goal was not justice, but profit, political persecution and control over state institutions, as well as the judiciary in Macedonia, VMRO-DPMNE Central Committee member Valentin Manasievski said Monday

The Special Public Prosecutor’s Office (SPO) headed by Katica Janeva worked under SDSM’ direction of SDSM, Zoran Zaev and his partners such as Venko Filipche, Oliver Spasovski and Radmila Shekerinska. Their goal was not justice, but profit, political persecution and control over state institutions, as well as the judiciary in Macedonia, VMRO-DPMNE Central Committee member Valentin Manasievski said Monday.

The ruling party representative announced new testimonies Tuesday about the work of certain prosecutors and the SPO as a whole and asked the Prosecutor’s Office (PPO) to look into the spending of funds in the last 2.5 months of 2015 from the SPO budget.

Referring to the testimonies of the former SPO prosecutor Lejla Kadriu, Manasievski says that the VMRO-DPMNE suspicions and theses, which, approximately 10 years ago, spoke about the partisanship of the SPO led by Katica Janeva, by SDSM, Zaev and his cronies, have been confirmed.

According to the testimonies, as Manasievski says, Ristoska and Bubevski were the main ones and they were the ones who managed the SPO in the background, while Katica Janeva only wanted to profile herself in the media, because she was just an ordinary mediocrity in the SPO.

“Financial resources were also very important in the work of the SPO. In 2015, or rather from October 15, 2015, the budget was projected for the SPO to receive a million euros from the state every year, and Katica was certainly only interested in money. They had to spend those 2.5 months by the end of 2015, as Lejla Kadriu says, so that the state would not take them back. Additionally, the SPO prosecutors were paid EUR 4,000 a month, and it was shameful and outrageous that they spent an additional EUR 2,000 per month on coffee, almonds and hazelnuts. In this part, the prosecution should investigate and check this case, where this money was spent in just 2.5 months and who all received bonuses, allowances, and how much the SPO paid for its rented offices,” said Manasievski.
