As part of the NATO Summit in Ankara, Minister of Defense Vlado Misajlovski participated in several activities and meetings, including a reception for defense ministers, organized by the Turkish National Defense Minister, Yaşar Güler, a Defense Industry Forum, as well as a ceremony on France, Finland and Sweden joining NATO Flight Training Europe, the Macedonian Ministry of Defense said in a press release Wednesday.
Participation in this forum is extremely important, considering the intention of the Macedonian Government to support the development of domestic companies in the field of the military industry.
On the first working day, a ceremony was held for the admission of three allied countries – France, Finland and Sweden to the Multinational Cooperation for the Establishment of NATO Flight Training Europe (NFTE) – a strategically important initiative for the establishment of an integrated flight training system in Europe.
Through NTFE, an efficient, coordinated and standardized long-term system for the training of pilots, technicians and aviation personnel is being created in accordance with NATO standards and needs. Our country is one of the founders of this initiative.
