Opposition openly shows ignorance about economy, except for embezzlement and theft, nothing else is in their political matrix, says PM Mickoski

I understand them, after all, it is not a citrus fruit factory or a citrus fruit company and they are not trading in fake vaccines or burning modular hospitals, these are the experts. But when it comes to the economy, except for embezzlement and theft, nothing else is in their political matrix, said Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski

I listened to that press conference that the MPs had within the Macedonian Parliament where there were two theses that are nebulous in themselves, and openly they show ignorance. I understand them, after all, it is not a citrus fruit factory or a citrus fruit company and they are not trading in fake vaccines or burning modular hospitals, these are the experts. But when it comes to the economy, except for embezzlement and theft, nothing else is in their political matrix, said Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski Friday in response to a media question regarding the opposition’s criticism of the public debt.

“But what is the truth and what is the reality? The first thesis was why those loans that the PE State Roads took were not recorded, because they do not enter the public debt and they should know that because there is a Law on Public Debt and those loans are framework, that is, depending on how progress is made in the field and how the work is completed and that is how invoices are delivered and loans are withdrawn and that is how they are paid,” noted Prime Minister Mickoski.

“The second thesis, why the Government’s decision to borrow on the International Market on August 31was not foreseen in the budget revision, because it is to issue a Eurobond next year so that we can repay their debts that were stealing from the people and literally emptying the institutions and ministries. So that we can repay the bond that they took during the Covid-19 crisis so that they could build modular hospitals, so that they could procure vaccines, and while citizens should be at the bottom in terms of prevention, at the top in terms of the number of victims during the Covid-19 crisis. That’s the opposition we have in Macedonia today. So, a bandit opposition that continues to be a continuity of a bandit government, in the period when SDSM and DUI were the government in Macedonia,” stressed PM Mickoski regarding the theses presented by the opposition on the country’s debt.
