Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, asked by reporters regarding Thursday’s meeting with the UPOZ and the expectations from it, said that he expected that the unions and the Government would reach an agreement.
“I expect those few in the leadership of the Federation of Trade Unions to step out of the party embrace and reach an agreement with the Government in the interest of the workers, that is, in the interest of the public sector employees, because even they, as I have said many times in the past, those 7,700-7,800 of our colleagues do not have a collective agreement with the Government, all the rest do. So with this, the Government as an employer rounds off the relations until the expiration of the mandate of this Government, until 2028, with all those whose employer is the Government directly or indirectly,” the PM noted.
