I would say that we had a fruitful and successful debate. Foreign investors are extremely important to us of course, just like domestic investors, because the economy is one of the main priorities of the functioning of this Government and all those attributes that are an integral part of that fight for a better economy, Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said after the meeting with the Foreign Investors Council.
“We feel that we are slowly but surely moving towards consolidation, and this in conditions of exceptionally large global challenges, I believe that the Macedonian economy is moving towards a state of consolidation, of course the challenges will not stop, they will continue, but we are trying to anticipate them and through anticipation to find solutions to those challenges. The stronger the state, the stronger the business, the property worth goes up, the stronger the state becomes, therefore it is very important to have a liquid business, economy, that economy to fulfill its obligations to the state and the budget on time, and of course with those obligations and with a solid and liquid budget we will be able to have more capital investments, to have more in healthcare, to have more in education, in agriculture, higher pensions, higher wages, etc.,” said Mickoski.
“So I appreciate that this is a two-way street, I am really pleased, we will analyze the criticisms, we will analyze the arguments so that we can be better next year, we will try to do better. I am pleased with the fact that the percentage of companies that are satisfied with the business climate and are ready to expand their investment in the country has increased by double digits. Of course, we will have challenges, but we as a Government are here, we are motivated and we want to solve those challenges. As we have done many times in the past, we will also fight for every investment, for every euro invested in the country in the future because we appreciate that with every euro invested in the country, with every denar invested in the country, we will have a richer and more stable country, and that means that the property of our citizens and the businesses of businessmen will be worth more,” PM Mickoski added.
