The quantity of transported goods in road freight transport in the first quarter (Q1) of 2026 dropped by 19.4 percent compared to the same quarter of the previous 2025, the State Statistics Office (SSO) said Tuesday.
In contrast to road freight transport, in the first three months of this year, compared to the same period last year, statistics recorded an increase in the quantity of transported goods in rail transport, by 14.2 percent, and in air transport by 34.1 percent.
According to SSO date, in Q1 2026, the number of transported passengers in road passenger transport was 1,043,000, 8,306,000 in urban-suburban transport, 24,000 in rail, and 840,532 in air transport.
