Police officers arrested 30-year-old Serbian national on the Gevgelija – Skopje motorway, at a place called Avlakjot in Gevgelija late Monday night. The police stopped an Opel Astra car with Serbian national license plates, which the arrested person was driving. Six migrants were found, five of whom were from Egypt and one person from Palestine.
The suspect was handed over to police officers at the Gevgelija PD for further proceedings, while the migrants were accommodated in the “Vinojug” Reception and Transit Center in Gevgelija.
The competent public prosecutor was notified of the event and will file and appropriate report after fully documenting the case.
