SDSM is changing its stance on caretaker government overnight from one extreme to another – from statements in the past that it should be scrapped to its strong defense now, said VMRO-DPMNE MP BojanStojanoskiin an interview with TV 24.
MP Stojanoskinotes that the caretaker government is dysfunctional, damages the image of the state and represents a financial burden. According to him, such a model does not exist in European democracies and does not contribute to the efficiency of institutions.
At the same time, the MP from the ruling majority criticized the opposition SDSM for their, as he said, inconsistency and insufficient engagement in the committee debate on the Law on the Abolition of the Technical Government, emphasizing that despite public appearances and statements, they have not forwarded a single amendment.
“It is not right for you to have a press conference in Parliament, to publicize the topic for several days, and then come to the Political System Committee with zero amendments. But, SDSM says that this is a collapse of the system, that the principle of consensus is being violated, that they will leave the Parliament, and at the committee hearing you do not have a single amendment, then that indicates something. You know what that is, just like that balloon released to the public with the red lines, which never came to the Parliament. So yes, the possibility of announcing something bombastic, and then being completely absent from the implementation, is not excluded,” said MP Stojanoski.
