Water losses at the national level in 2025 amounted to 63.05 percent and are lower by 0.16 percent compared to 2024, reveals data from the 2025 Annual Report of the Regulatory Commission for Energy, Water Services and Municipal Waste Management Services (ERC).
There is also a drop of 0.33 cubic meters in the average monthly household water consumption, which in 2025 amounted to 12.59 cubic meters. Households from the South-West Region have the lowest average consumption of 8.67 cubic meters, while in the Vardar Region it is the highest with 15.10 cubic meters.
The ERC informs that the invoiced amount of water in 2025 amounts to 36.95 percent and is practically at the same level as the previous year (36.79 percent).
The highest percentage of non-revenue water is in the Southwestern Region at 73 percent, while the lowest percentage of non-revenue water is registered in the Southeast Region at 47.88 percent.
