Macedonia’s public debt for the year ended September 2019 increased by € 338.7 million, according to finance ministry figures.
The Ministry of Finance released a table on the state of public debt as of the end of last year, which shows that at the end of last year it amounted to 5.54 billion euros, an increase of 338 million euros compared to 5.2 billion euros as of the end of 2018.
In terms of percentages, at the end of 2019, debt was 48.9 percent of GDP, up 0.3 percentage points from 2018, when it was 48.6 percent.
