Nearly 84,000 free electronic toll cards were used by Serbian tourists transiting through the country on their way to Greece.

On the 15th of this month ended the period of 60 days since Serbian tourists received free M Smart cards at the Tabanovce border crossing for free tolls across our country along Corridor 10, as a thank you for the provided free vaccines and vaccination of Macedonian citizens in Serbia.

In May this year, the Government decided to allocate about 2.8 million euros for Serbian vehicles transiting through Macedonia in the period from June 15 to August 15 for the preparation of 200,000 M Smart Cards. Each of them had enough funds to pay the tolls from Tabanovce to Gevgelija and back, prepared by the Public Enterprise for State Roads, and at the border crossing Tabanovce distributed by the police. However, the number of distributed cards was lower, i.e. about 83,959, with a total value of 1.2 million denars, leaving more than 1.5 million of the planned funds unused.
