Serbia has violated the agreement on vehicle license plates, noted Kosovo’s Minister of Internal Affairs Xhelal Sveçla.
The interior minister said on Facebook that Kosovo police, especially the Border Police Authority, found illegal (according to Kosovo) “KM” (Kosovo and Metohija) license plates at several border crossings, which were re-registered in December 2022.
“Based on the agreement between Kosovo and Serbia (regarding vehicle translation plates) reached in Brussels in November 2022, Serbia has agreed to stop issuing the old “KM” plates and re-registering the already existing ones. Based on the cases registered at our (Kosovo) border posts, Serbia has completely violated this agreement,” Sveçla said in a social media post.
