Two Macedonian candidates for mayor of a municipality in Albania, the party of the Macedonians to go extinct

Thirty-one-year-old Pandi Jani is a candidate for mayor of Pustec municipality, in the area of ​​Mala Prespa, where the Macedonian population is in the majority, announced his candidacy as a proposal of the Party of Freedom of the former Albanian president Ilir Meta, which is part of the electoral coalition Together We Win.

He announces that in the following period there will be an official promotion of the package program with all the projects that will be implemented during his term as mayor of the municipality.

Pandi Jani is an opponent of the current 43-year-old Pali Kolefski, who is a joint candidate of the ruling Socialist Party and the Macedonian party, the Macedonian Alliance for European Integration (MAEI).

The party of Macedonians from Albania MAEI did not come up with its own candidate and supported Kolefski. According to the testimonies of members of the Macedonian party, it is allegedly about to disappear, because, as they say, the membership has disintegrated.

According to the information from the field, MAEI did not manage to compile a list of councilors either, that is, the leadership of the party failed to compile a list of 15 members as many as make up the council of the municipality.
