Kovachevski leads a front against the EU for the protection of crime, said opposition VMRO-DPMNE in a press release on Tuesday.
“Kovachevski knowingly misuses the so-called EU flag procedure to push through legal solutions that have nothing to do with Macedonia’s EU integration. Some of the legal solutions that Kovachevski is pushing are also unconstitutional. Kovachevski, SDS and DUI threaten the EU future of Macedonia because of their criminal interests. EU ambassador Geer publicly indicated that Kovachevski should not abuse the EU flag procedure. With the Bechtel-Enka contract, Kovachevski threatens the principles of transparency and competitiveness that Macedonia accepted with the Stabilization and Association Agreement, which is the initial stage for our path to the EU,” the largest opposition party said.
VMRO-DPMNE adds that Kovachevski is only abusing the EU and ruining its reputation in Macedonia.
