The Solidarity Tax Law is a tax where more is taken from those who are successful and disciplined at the expense of those who are unsuccessful and undisciplined, and here I am primarily thinking of those who are creators and generators of the gray economy in Macedonia, said the leader of VMRO-DPMNE Hristijan Mickoski during his visit to the municipality of Novaci, asked about the effect of the Law on Solidarity Tax.

“You have tax havens in several parts of Macedonia where fiscal accounts do not apply, nor do any other legal provisions apply, you even have parts in Skopje where you can pay with European currency and get change in European currency and that is in front of the eyes of the authorities in line and nobody can do anything to them. We seem to have parts where there is a parallel system and now they are amnestied and tolerated, and those who have regularly fulfilled their obligations are being punished again by this Government. And the goal of the Government is to collect as much money as possible for now before elections in tenders in 4 eyes agreeing commissions, as they do with one facility not far from here TPP Bitola,” said Mickoski.

If they think it will pass, Mickoski added, they will be denied in a few months from now.

“The effect of the Law will not be positive, it will increase frustration and the fulfillment of tax obligations. Or the state is a mother to some, and to others it is not”, stressed Mickoski, and added “if they don’t know what those tax havens are, if they don’t know where to pay with euro currency, I will tell them, and in a few months from now it won’t be like that”.
