The opposition Albanian party Alternativa reacts to the amendments to the Criminal Code, according to which the former mayor of Centar Municipality Vladimir Todorovikj, suspected and accused of abuse of office and authorization for the “Skopje 2014” project, had his house arrest measure lifted.
Afrim Gashi’s party says it is disturbing and unfair for one reason.
“What is more European, to seek to punish corruption and to fight by any means against the abuse of power and the statute of limitations of corruption cases or to amend the Criminal Code by acquitting hundreds of accused of such cases and to motivate other criminals to commit such corrupt acts?, asked Alternativa.
