Teachers’ wages up by 15 percent in September

Salaries of teachers and other employees in primary and secondary schools continue to increase. The Minister of Education and Science Jeton Shaqiri and the President of the Independent Trade Union for Education, Science and Culture, Jakim Nedelkov, signed an agreement to increase the salaries of employees in primary and secondary schools by 15%, starting from the current month of September, announced the Ministry of Education and Science on Friday.

“Basically, in a period of just one year, teachers’ salaries have been increased three times, that is cumulatively by over 35%. This is just confirmation that we really intend to restore the dignity and dignity of teachers that they deserve in society, because they are the most important link in the educational process on which the quality of the generations that are being created depends and without which no reform can succeed,” Minister Shaqiri said.
