The Democratic Movement, Alternativa and the Besa Movement accused the government of misusing the so-called EU flag fast-track procedure for changes to the Criminal Code.
The deputy leader of the Alternativa party, Admirim Aliti, said on behalf of the Albanian opposition that Ali Ahmeti’s statement that both Brussels and Washington D.C., when they enter into a deeper analysis, will understand the reasons, and that changes in justice are a priority, is against the answer for Brussels. Ahmeti’s answer, according to Aliti, insults the intelligence of the citizens and the European Commission.
