The Government and the Parliament did not forward the Criminal Code amendments to the competent institutions, probably due to its adoption in an expedited EU-fledged procedure, Chief Public Prosecutor Ljubomir Joveski told the media on Wednesday.

Joveski said the Prosecutor’s Office is currently attempting to save some of the cases facing expiry of the statute of limitations.

“We will try to save some cases if there are grounds for this, and confiscate assets if there is evidence for such seizure,” Joveski told reporters.
