Starting Friday, October 13th, the amendments and additions to the law on excise duties, which have been increased for cigarettes, cigars and cigarillos, come into force. For cigarettes, the excise duty will amount to 9% of the retail price per pack.
For cigars, the excise tax will amount to MKD 21.73 per piece and 9% of the retail price, while for cigarillos MKD 10 per piece and 9% of the retail price.
