In order to stimulate the citizens to select the domestic waste, the method of payment of garbage tax will be changed, so from the previous method of paying per square meter of an apartment, it will be changed to payment according to quantity.
“In addition to all the systems we are working on, we are also preparing a new methodology for determining the fee for garbage collection. Now we pay per square meter – you can live alone in 100 square meters and produce, for example, 10 kilograms of garbage, or 10 people live in 100 square meters and produce 1000 kilograms, they pay the same,” said the Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning, Kaja Shukova in an interview with TV24.
