Out of a total of 150 companies that are covered by this tax, that is, that last year had a turnover of over 10 million euros, and the increase in profit is by 20 percent compared to the average of the previous three years, 96 have settled their obligation. For the rest, if they do not settle, fines will follow.
“For those taxpayers who have not voluntarily paid the solidarity tax within the legally stipulated term, the PRO will take measures in accordance with the Law on Solidarity Tax and the Law on Tax Procedure,” said the Public Revenue Office of the Republic of N. Macedonia (PRO).
The fines stipulated by the law range from 1,800 to 20,000 euros.
