The Food and Veterinary Agency (FVA) in cooperation with the State Sanitary and Health Inspectorate and experts from the Center for Public Health, are carrying out an extraordinary inspection at the food operator DPTU “Vanila food” – DOOEL Skopje and the suppliers of raw materials for this operator, which supplies food to several kitchens of primary schools in the municipality of Karposh, due to reports of cases of stomach ailments and laboratory confirmation of salmonella.

“As a preventive measure, the inspection services of the Agency for Food and Veterinary Medicine will carry out extraordinary inspections in the kitchens of all schools in this municipality that are supplied with food by this operator, specifically those schools where there are no confirmed cases of infected students with salmonella. After the end of the extraordinary surveillance and after receiving the results of the laboratory tests, the public will be informed about the results and the culprit,” said FVA director Nikolche Babovski.
