Following the recent decisions of the Council of Public Prosecutors for the selection of prosecutors in the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office for Prosecuting Organized Crime and Corruption (PPO OCC), the Public Prosecutor’s Office (PO) has already taken all necessary steps to ensure efficiency and smooth conduct of all ongoing proceedings. No initiated process will suffer unjustified delay or complication, and there will be a public prosecutor in the courtroom ready to represent the prosecution, said the PPO in a press release on Sunday.
The Public Prosecutor’s Office is a single body and a possible change of public prosecutor during the conduct of cases, which can happen for a variety of reasons, does not affect the dynamics and manner of conducting proceedings, reads the release.
