On the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, Macedonian President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova held talks with President of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), Abdullah Eren, reaffirming the excellent cooperation and the strong Macedonian-Turkish partnership.

President Siljanovska-Davkova expressed gratitude for TIKA’s continuous and significant support, which with more than 1,300 implemented projects, has made a visible and lasting contribution across several sectors: education, healthcare, cultural heritage, and infrastructure.

“She particularly highlighted the importance of support in the healthcare sector, especially the investment in modern medical equipment for the Clinic for Radiotherapy and Oncology, which contributes to the improvement of public health as well as last year’s donation to the Hydrobiological Institute in Ohrid,” the President’s Office said in a press release Saturday.

“Siljanovska-Davkova underscored the important role of the Turkish community in Macedonian society, noting that its identity rights are both constitutionally guaranteed and largely implemented. Both sides agreed there is readiness to resolve issues related to education in the Turkish mother tongue. She said these challenges are not the result of systemic policy, but of weaknesses at the local level,” reads the press release.
