Macedonian professional rally driver Igor Stefanovski Idzhe starts off the new season in the FIA European Hill Climb Championship (EHC) this weekend in Austria, the most prestigious competition in this discipline. The start is on the legendary Reckberg track, where the Macedonian racetrack star enters with an additional motive, celebrating 25 years of his career.
The three-time European champion continues to write history, this time because of the anniversary, with new energy, speed and ambition. The “Flying Macedonian” will face strong competition – more than 250 drivers in a championship that this year has 10 races across Europe.
The season starts with training on Saturday, and culminates with the races on Sunday (April 26), while the championship finale is planned for this year in Croatia, in September.
After two successful seasons, Idzhe continues his cooperation with Ferrari this year. He will compete in the Ferrari 488 Challenge, a specially prepared “beast” for hillside tracks.
