Macedonian political analyst Arsim Zekoli died at the age of 60 early Monday morning.
The sad news was announced by his brother, Dr. Shefket Zekoli, through a public statement on social media, informing family and friends of the loss of their loved one.
“With deep pain and great sadness, we inform you that today, June 8, 2026, in the early morning hours, our brother, Arsim Sulejman Zekoli (1966-2026) suddenly passed away,” the statement reads.
The family announced that the funeral ceremony will be held Monday at 6 p.m. at the cemetery in the village of Blace.
Arsim Zekoli was Macedonia’s ambassador to the OSCE organization in Vienna, and is also known as an analyst of political issues both in Macedonia and worldwide.
