We are fighting for more factories that will export and increase our GDP and well-paid jobs, Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said Sunday during a working visit to Türkiye, where he attended a Business Forum and presented the potential of the Macedonian economy to Turkish businessmen accompanied by his government team.

In response to a reporter’s question regarding what the country’s offering to Turkish businessmen, PM Mickoski stresses that cheap labor for potential investors is a stereotype from the past and that the Government offers workers and human potential that contributes to GDP and businesses.

“We can offer them the same thing we offer everywhere. Let’s fight for a factory that will export more, that will increase our GDP, well-paid jobs. We can offer qualified labor, people who have knowledge, have experience, we will not go around and around with the message of cheap labor because that is a stereotype from the past, because we do not offer cheap labor but rather offer workers and human potential who know and are able to jointly help grow both the GDP and the business of those who will invest,” said PM Mickoski while attending an event in Skopje’s Ilinden.
