Inflation measured through the Consumer Price Index in June 2026, compared to May 2026, dropped by 0.5 percent, while retail prices dropped by 0.8 percent. Compared to June 2025, the Consumer Price Index increased by 3.4 percent, while the Retail Price Index increased by 3.6 percent, the State Statistics Office (SSO) said Tuesday.
An increase in the cost of living was recorded in the following groups: Recreation, sports and culture by 1.4%, Personal care, social protection and miscellaneous goods and services by 0.5%, Household furniture, household equipment and regular household maintenance and Restaurants and accommodation services by 0.3%, Health care and Information and communications by 0.2%, Clothing and footwear by 0.1%.
The cost of living in the groups Alcoholic beverages, tobacco and narcotics, Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels, Educational services and Insurance and financial services remain at the same level as in the previous month.
