EC’s positive assessment is confirmation of successful reforms, says MP Miloshoski

VMRO-DPMNE MP and party’s Executive Committee member Antonio Miloshoski told reporters Saturday that he wants to emphasize the importance of the month of July for Macedonia, but also for the assessments that the European Commission makes for all candidate countries. According to the information available to the party, the European Commission will give a positive assessment of the implementation of the Reform Agenda by Macedonia.

According to Miloshoski, Macedonia, accompanied by Albania and Montenegro, is among the candidate countries that are making progress in fulfilling the reform obligations, while some of the other countries in the region are lagging behind in implementing the European Commission’s Growth Plan.

He says that such an assessment is a confirmation of the successfully implemented reforms, but also a denial of, as he said, the claims of SDSM leader Venko Filipche, that the country is not meeting the reform goals.

In his address, Miloshoski called on SDSM to support the adoption of the Electoral Code, pointing out that it is part of the Reform Agenda and that the proposed solutions are the result of a consensus reached in the working group at the Ministry of Justice, in accordance with the recommendations of the OSCE and ODIHR.

The ruling party MP also welcomed the commitment of the European Commission to link the allocation of financial resources to candidate countries to the fulfillment of reform obligations, expressing the expectation that during July there will be a proposal to reallocate part of the funds to countries that show the best results in implementing reforms.
