According to SSM data, the consumer basket for July 2026 is at MKD 68,500. A family of four spends over MKD 25,000 per month on food and beverages alone, the opposition SDSM said in a press release Monday.
“If we add the rent for a 60 square meter apartment, the necessary funds rise to MKD 83,873,” SDSM says.
“The minimum wage is still far below EUR 600, and the average wage does not keep up with the growth of costs. Citizens are barely making ends meet, while Mickoski and his incompetent VMRO-OKG continue to push the country into economic collapse. Investments have decreased by over 60 percent.
