A total of nine wildfires have been registered on the territory of Macedonia as of 1 p.m. Sunday, of which five are active, one is under control, and three have been extinguished, the Crisis Management Center (CMC) reported on Sunday.
Active fires are in the village of Gorno Lisiche, Municipality of Aerodrom, where low vegetation, wood and corn are burning, on the Skopje-Veles highway opposite the Makpetrol gas station in the Municipality of Ilinden, where low vegetation is burning, in the village of Turnovo, Municipality of Bosilovo, stubble is burning, in a landfill at the exit from Kriva Palanka and in the village of Simnica, Municipality of Gostivar, where low vegetation, stubble and bushes are burning.
The fire in the Municipality of Zelenikovo above the village of Zelenikovo, where forest and low vegetation were on fire, has been brought under control.
The fires in the village of Grchec, Municipality of Saraj, near the New City Cemetery in Prilep and in the village of Crvivci, Municipality of Kichevo, have been extinguished.
