The investment cycle in Macedonia goes on. In addition to the companies that are already operating and creating new value, new significant investments will be realized in the coming period, and in parallel the Government is negotiating with new companies that are interested in investing in our country, VMRO-DPMNE MP Aleksandar Veljanovski told a press conference Monday.

“The goal is to attract investments that bring new production, modern technologies, well-paid jobs and greater exports, while at the same time diversifying the economy and not depending on just one industry.

One of the significant new investments is the investment of Cavo Otomotiv in TIDZ Tetovo. It is a multinational company, with more than four decades of experience in the automotive industry, a manufacturer of security systems, control cables and mechanisms for the world’s leading manufacturers. In the period from 2026 to 2030, the company plans to invest around 20 to 21 million euros, and according to the business plan, the opening of 400 to 500 new jobs is expected.

The plan also foresees exports that would reach around 45 million euros annually.

In TIDZ Skopje 1, the construction of the new Çağatay Kablo factory has begun. The investment is worth EUR 6 million, will include a production facility of 10,000 square meters and will provide up to 200 new jobs.

Investments in modern and high-tech industries are also particularly significant. In TIDZ Kichevo, the construction of the factory for electronic batteries for cars of the Belgian company Avesta Battery and Energy Engineering has started, while the German BMZ Group has realized an investment of 65 million euros in the production of lithium-ion batteries, with 700 new jobs planned. This group also includes the investment of Epsotech for a development research center and the investment of the American Webtech for the production of brakes for rail vehicles.

What is particularly pleasing is that the investment interest is spreading beyond the automotive industry. One Turkish and one German company in the field of high technologies have confirmed that they will invest in Macedonia. Their total investments are expected to reach around EUR 80 million, with around 1,000 new jobs and joint exports of over EUR 200 million.

Negotiations for investments and opening factories in Macedonia have been completed with three foreign companies. These are companies from the automotive industry, high technologies and the pharmaceutical industry,” said MP Veljanovski.
