The Government is not considering opening the Constitution, the political conditions for that have not been met, Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski told reporters on Tuesday.

PM Mickoski said that the Constitutional Court is probably already considering what the architecture of the special law would look like and expressed the expectation that it might soon have a finished document and, when the political conditions are in place, it will be adopted.
As the PM said, in this context, his presence at Tuesday’s roundtable is a strong message.

“We assume that the Constitutional Court is already considering what the architecture of the special law would look like. I hope that soon from today such a bill can be issued, to have a public debate, to hear the opinion of the public and the expert community, to have a finished document and when the political conditions for such a thing are in place, to be adopted. At the moment, the Government is not considering opening the Constitution and the political conditions for that have not yet been met,” Mickoski noted.
