The Macedonian Parliament at Wednesday’s session elected Nenad Saveski as the new Chief Public Prosecutor. A total of 66 MPs supported Saveski’s election, two voted against, and eight abstained.
The Government’s proposal to elect Saveski as Chief Public Prosecutor was explained to the MPs by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski.

“Macedonia desperately needs justice and the rule of law. It needs clear opening and processing of cases that will mean improving the image of the state and the prosecutorial-judicial system,” Nikoloski stressed at the session.

He emphasized that Saveski is a professional, proven in his work and, as he emphasized, without a single stain in his professional career.

Nenad Saveski was born in 1976, lives in Gostivar and has a master’s degree in criminal law. He earned a master’s degree and graduated from the Faculty of Law “Justinianus Primu”” at UKIM. He passed the bar exam in 2003.

Since 2016, he has been a judge at the Skopje Basic Criminal Court, in the department for organized crime and corruption.

Previously, from 2009 to 2016, he worked as a public prosecutor at the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office (PPO), and from 2004 to 2009, he was a professional associate at the Gostivar Basic Court. He also worked there as a judicial intern between 2000 and 2002.
