A significant meeting was held in Vienna between a delegation from Macedonia and a delegation from Austria, in an atmosphere of open and constructive dialogue. The talks focused on promoting cooperation in several areas of mutual interest, with a special emphasis on the economy, investments and future joint projects, Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said Thursday.

“We confirmed our readiness to deepen the partnership and strengthen bilateral relations. The meeting was an opportunity to exchange views, ideas and visions for further development, with the clear goal of achieving concrete results and long-term cooperation,” Mickoski wrote on his Facebook profile.

As part of his visit to Austria, Macedonian Prime Minister had a one-on-one meeting with Austrian Chancellor Christian Stocker. The key message from the meeting, as he emphasized at the joint press conference, is that Europe is at a crucial moment when it must choose whether to react to crises or actively shape the rules.

“In times of uncertainty, energy challenges and economic pressures, words are not enough, concrete decisions and actions are necessary. Our determination is clear – to build an economy that creates, not just consumes. To build a country that offers security, not uncertainty. To build a system in which work pays off, and trust has value. Europe will not be strong if its parts remain weak. Europe will not be stable if its peripheries remain insecure. Europe will not be competitive if its economies do not grow together. That is why this is a matter of bilateral cooperation. But this is also a matter of shared responsibility. We are ready to take on that responsibility. We are ready to do the work. We are ready to make decisions. We are ready to deliver results. And that is why we believe that with a partnership based on trust and concrete projects, we will build something that will last longer than one term, longer than one crisis, longer than one generation,” reads Mickoski’s post.
