VLEN denies DUI claims: Political constructions out of cadastral data to hide their corruption

DUI is not fighting corruption, they are trying to hide its own corruption, said the ruling VLEN, rejecting as untrue the allegations made today by the Democratic Union for Integration (DUI) about the alleged property connection between former Chair Mayor Visar Ganiu, and the current director of Nomagas, Nedim Rama.

“Political constructions are being extracted from cadastral data. Terms such as property title, right holder, plot, construction application and purpose of a building are being mixed up, in order to create an impression among the public of something that is not at all true. They want to present a 60 square meter plot of land, with an ideal section of 30 square meters each, as seven holiday homes. Science fiction directed by political losers,” said VLEN, accusing DUI of manipulating inaccurate information.

The party urged the competent institutions to check everything necessary to see if there is any abuse in the case announced by DUI, but at the same time they demand that the opposition party stop, as they say, manipulating the public with false constructions and political montages.

The ruling party’s reaction follows after earlier today the Democratic Union for Integration published documents from the Cadaster Agency, accusing former Chair Mayor Visar Ganiu, and the current director of Nomagas, Nedim Rama, of being connected to a plot of land registered at the same location and on which a complex of seven weekend houses is registered. They called on the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption (SCPC), the Financial Police, the Public Revenue Office (PRO) and the Prosecutor’s Office (PPO) to urgently investigate the case.
