VMRO-DPMNE sees the theses that constitutional amendments could be made following the example in Croatia as a good solution. With this model, Macedonia will be a country of one nation and its minorities, spokesperson of opposition VMRO-DPMNE Marija Miteva told at a press conference on Monday.
“Dimitar Kovachevski, as well as Bujar Osmani, in several statements to the media, said that Croatia’s Constitution is an acceptable model, while today they remain silent. We urge SDS and DUI, as self-proclaimed Europeans, to accept the amendments to the Constitution following the example of an EU member state. VMRO-DPMNE demands that, if the model of Macedonia from multi-ethnicity to become a national state is accepted, all minorities registered according to the last census should be registered,” Miteva said.
