The Skopje police filed criminal charges against two people, a mother and a son, who are suspected of being involved in the murder of a 35-year-old man that happened last week in an apartment in Skopje’s Hrom, and which the police concluded was an attempt to cover it up after the apartment in which it was carried out was set on fire.
The Ministry of Interior informs that a central warrant has been issued for the 39-year-old man after he was not found in his home, and the 58-year-old woman was arrested and given a 30-day detention.
“The evidence provided to this point provides reasonable suspicion for one suspect as the perpetrator of the crime of murder in a brutal manner. The suspect committed the crime after a short argument with the victim, depriving the victim of his life with more than 45 stab wounds in the neck and body. After the event, he made several phone calls to his mother, who took a plastic bottle and went to the nearest gas station, bought a liter and a half of fuel, and in cooperation with her son set a fire with the intention of covering up the traces of the brutal murder,” said the Skopje Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office.
