Citizens and businesses in North Macedonia, as announced by the Ministry of Information Society and Administration (MIOA), will pay on average one third less than the price they currently pay for roaming data when they travel to European countries.
The price reduction for roaming data also applies to citizens from the diaspora and Europe, when they will be in North Macedonia. The reduction of roaming data prices is a fulfillment of the Roaming Declaration signed at the EU-Western Balkans Summit, which took place in December last year, in Tirana. The 38 telecommunications operators in the EU and the Western Balkans, last year at the EU-Western Balkans Summit, signed a declaration of conformity, to significantly reduce the gap between roaming tariffs and domestic prices between the EU and the Balkan countries.
