Ten wildfires registered in the last 24 hours, informs CMC

According to the reports in the Department of Operations and Coordination in the Crisis Management Center (CMC), a total of ten wildfires were registered yesterday in the country, with only one remaining active by Saturday morning.

The fire that broke out at 1:00 p.m. between the villages of Rimnica and Bibaj, in the locality Ribnichka Planina in the Municipality of Mavrovo – Rostushe, is still active and has affected high pastures, spruces, ferns, individual beech, fir and forest. Due to the inaccessibility of the region by vehicles, the firemen from TPPE Gostivar were unable to intervene. They were only able to intervene with five employees from the Mavrovo National Park. In the morning, the teams from the national park are planned to intervene in the same difficult-to-access terrain,” the CMC informed.
