SSO: Exports up, imports down in January-September period

The total value of exported goods from North Macedonia in the January-September 2023 period amounted to EUR 6.2 billion, a 1.4 percent increase compared to the same period last year, while the value of imported goods in the same period was EUR 8.2 billion, or 8.4 percent less than the same period last year. The trade deficit in the period January-September 2023 was EUR 2 billion, said the State Statistical Office (SSO) in a press release on Tuesday.
Import coverage by export in the January-September 2023 period was 75.7%.
In the period January-September 2023, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, China, and Serbia were the most important trade partners of the Republic of North Macedonia according to the total external trade volume.
