The Macedonian theater, film and television actor Meto Jovanovski will be laid to rest in the Alley of Distinguished Citizens at the Skopje Butel Cemetery, the competent city authorities have decided.
The remains of the famous actor will lie in state in the chapel at Butel City Cemetery from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Then his remains will be transported in a procession to the church “St. John the Baptist”, which is located in the immediate vicinity of the city cemetery, where at 12 o’clock the funeral service for the soul of the deceased will be held by the head of the MOC-OA Archbishop Stefan. From here, the remains will be taken in a procession to his eternal resting place.
The Skopje Drama Theater, where Meto Jovanovski spent his entire working years, will hold a commemorative session tomorrow (Tuesday) at 11 a.m.
