Macedonian Minister of Energy, Mining and Mineral Resources Sanja Bozhinovska, accompanied by Slovenian Ambassador H.E. Gregor Presker, visited the mosaic and ruby workshop being held at the “Lazar Lichenoski” applied arts high school.
“It is an innovative approach that connects geology, art and education, through practical work with minerals – with a special focus on the ruby as a symbol and material. The workshop is already underway and represents a rare example where natural resources are transformed into a creative and educational process with broader social significance,” reads the press release.
The visit is part of the Ministry’s broader activities aimed at connecting energy and mining with education, innovation and creative industries – as a key segment of contemporary policies for sustainable development.
“Such projects are a concrete example of how a new narrative is being built for energy and mining – not only as a sector, but as a space for knowledge, innovation and connection with culture. Our goal is for natural resources to become part of education, creativity and the economy. That is where the real added value for the country is created. Such initiatives are an important step towards building a new approach in the sector – where young people are directly involved, and resources are used as a tool for learning, innovation and development of new skills,” Minister Bozhinovska noted.
